The Open Application Network was created as an alternative to closed platforms (e.g. Facebook, Amazon, Shopify, Uber) that tend to limit the control, privacy, security, and connectivity of those who build upon them. The newly established brand required a distinct visual identity to establish themselves as a powerful new utility for those who believe that open is better.
